About

Emilyn Ahmed

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California and received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have worked as an academic tutor for seven years, and it was during this time that I discovered my passion for working with adolescents. Being able to support students’ educations while instilling motivation and helping them manage their stress and anxiety was a fulfilling and enriching experience for me. While attending Pepperdine University as an undergraduate student, I immersed myself in volunteering and learned so many valuable lessons from my time at a homeless shelter and transitional living program. Listening to the individuals’ stories was an emotional and eye-opening experience, and one which reinforced my desire to become a therapist. I continued to work with children and adolescents as a graduate student, however, this time I was a therapist trainee and I worked with them clinically at a school-based setting. Now, as a registered AMFT, I am committed to walking with adolescents and adults on their journeys to self-discovery, insight, and growth.
